He is survived by: his wife Shirley Samples NIckerson; his son Clay Nickerson Terri Nickerson (Gleisy); his granddaughters, Monica McKissick Ramon (Jeremy) and Rebeca Naveda; and his great grandchildren, Violet, Lily, Ethan and Carter.
