He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Roe Hawkey and Patricia Clark Hawkey. He is survived by: his significant other Susan "Sue" Lynn Hawkey; his children, Emily Coffman (Jacob), Amanda Hawkey (Amit Kumar) and D. J. Hawkey; his grandsons, Asher Roe and Everett Thomas Coffman; and his siblings, David Hawkey (Jennie) and Laura Livingston (Dean). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
