The memory of Alfred W. Calhoun (Pompano Beach, Florida), who passed away on June 9, 2025 at the age of 73, will forever remain in the hearts of those touched by this precious presence in their lives. In the vast expanse of eternity, Alfred shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Alfred farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Lee Calhoun, Sr. and Octeria Valjean Edmond; and his brother Robert Lee Calhoun, Jr.. He is survived by: his wife Sandy Calhoun (Newsome); his children, Shandra (Jason) of Charleston, SC and Jon Calhoun of South Bend, IN; his grandchildren, Laila, London and Jaxon of Charleston, SC.; and his brothers, Dr. Ron Calhoun (Loretta) and Joseph Calhoun. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, brothers and sisters in-law, and countless friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Forest Lawn Funeral Home (200 W Copans Rd, Pompano Beach, FL 33064). A funeral service will be held on Monday, June 16th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the same location.
