He was predeceased by: his parents, Dennis R. McMahon and Violet McMahon Sr. (Pat); his stepparents, Arnold Peterson Sr. (Pete) and Alice McMahon; his former wife Elizabeth Ann McMahon (Libby); and his sons, Dennis R. McMahon III and Michael J. McMahon.
He is survived by: his wife Dr. Melanie A. Crandall; his daughters, Lezle Harris (Jon), Nora Boyer (Dan), Kelly Cook (Dave), Stacie Ferry (Mike) and Jeanette McMahon; his stepdaughter Ilah Cibis; his siblings, Patty Enderle (Rich), Camay Arnold, Richard J. McMahon (Ruthie) and Wayne McMahon; his siblings-in-law, Dr. Blane Crandall and Dr. Valerie Jackson; and his godson Dave Robertson.
