She was predeceased by: her parents, Qualton and Mildred Commander; her husband Eddie Burnes; her daughter Tammie Burnes; her granddaughter Ashley Burnes; her siblings, Oliver Commander, Eugene Commander, Marion Commander, Wilene Thomas and Juanita Moore; her stepson Ricky Burnes; and her close friend Don Squires.
She is survived by: her daughter Pam Burnes (Danny Michels); and her grandchildren, Amber (Tray), Tamra (Nathan), Tory and Steven. She is also survived by 14 great grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
