He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Swanson and Quentin Swanson. He is survived by: his wife Joan Freeberg; his children, Kimberly Johnson (Conrad), Melissa Callaway (Mike), Jeffrey and Jamie; and his grandchildren, Katherine, Michael Jr., Anna, Ben and Kristina.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Palms Presbyterian Church (3410 3rd St S, Jacksonville Beach, FL 32250).
