It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Sidney Lanier Monroe of Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, who passed away on February 26, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by : his parents, Sidney Monroe and Irene Monroe (Hanson); and his sister Sarah Monroe. He is survived by : his wife Susan Holloway; his sister Mary Hopping (Wade); his daughters, Dawn Monroe and Eden Sheffield (Matt); his grandchildren, Adam, Allie and Benjamin; his cousin Earle Whitehurst; and his stepsons, Sean (Rachel), Aaron (Edvina) and Paul.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Community Hospice and Palliative Services or Davis Phinney Parkinson's Foundation.
