She was predeceased by: her husband Michael V. Shaar. She is survived by: her children, E. Denise Shaar, K. Michelle Shaar, Michael Vincent Shaar Jr. and A. Marie Shaar-Scott (Ken); her grandchildren, Jennifer Brown, Stephanie Scott and Carmen Guerra; her sister Yvonne Brown (John); and her sister-in-law Alice Shaar Akel. She is also survived by 3 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews.
