Karen D. Stapleton Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Karen D. Stapleton of Ponte Vedra, Florida, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 1, 2025 at the age of 73. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Karen D. Stapleton to pay them a last tribute.
Though Karen may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Karen touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, George Dometios and Esther Dometios (Lazar); and her husband Paul J. Stapleton. She is survived by: her brother Thomas Dometios (Nancy) of Hamden, CT; her aunt Evelyn DeCarlo; and her brother-in-law Walter Stapleton (Claire). She is also survived by cousins, extended family members and special friends.
A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the St. Barbara Greek Orthodox Church (480 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT 06477). A burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:30 PM at the Kings Highway Cemetery (271 Cherry St, Milford, CT 06460).
In lieu of flowers, Karen has requested that donations be made to any local animal shelter, Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
