The passing of Kurt Paul Pfotenhauer of Ponte Vedra, Florida leaves a void in the hearts of many, as we bid farewell to a loving soul who departed on January 21, 2026. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Reverend Frederick Pfotenhauer (Fritz). He is survived by: his mother Carolyn Pfotenhauer; his wife Nancy; his children, Jon, Ben Pfotenhauer, Jonathan, Kelsey and Adam Mitchell; his brother David; and his sister-in-law Eden. He is also survived by spouses; and their six grandchildren.

In addition to the recognition he received as a top lobbyist while at the MBA, in 2020 he received the HousingWire Vanguard Award, honoring the instrumental role he played in those industries' response to the COVID-19 pandemic and in the modernization of settlement services.
