He was predeceased by: his father Clayton Hamby; and his brother Robert "Rob" Hamby. He is survived by: his mother Sandra Panitz; his stepfather Lee Panitz; his wife Gretchen Hamby; his daughters, Kendall Hamby and Kaelyn Hamby; his brother David Hamby; his siblings-in-law, Amy Hamby, Christina Long (John Ed) and Trey Chapman (Jessie); and his parents-in-law, Darrell and Rita. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to their church, Ponte Vedra Presbyterian Church.
