It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Agnes L. Peyton of Port Charlotte, Florida, born in Indianapolis, Indiana, who passed away on July 26, 2025, at the age of 99, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Jason Jackson Cross and Ozora Frances Pearson; her husbands, Raymond Sandlin and Donald Peyton; her son Gary Sandlin; and her siblings, George Cross, Verly Cross, Melvin Cross, Esther "Button" Shaffer and Hazel Chapman.
She is survived by: her children, Alan Sandlin (Linda) of Marco Island, FL, Donna Scheeler (Kim) of Port Charlotte, FL and Iris Sandlin of Wake Forest, NC; and her sister Edna Martin of Tipton, IN..
Visitation will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Swartz Family Community Mortuary and Memorial Center (300 S Morton St, Franklin, IN 46131). A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Monday, August 4th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Forest Lawn Memory Gardens (1977 S State Rd 135, Greenwood, IN 46143).
