He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Kern and Margaret Hoffman; and his siblings, Grace Hooper, Geraldine Springob, Albert Kern, George Kern and Edward Kern.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher James Kern (Chris) and Kathryn Marie Kern (Kathy); his wife Pat; his children-in-law, Amy Kern of Marlborough, CT and Nicanor Reina of Miami, FL; and his grandchildren, Adrien Reina, Tyler Kern and Aundrea Reina. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, November 14th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the San Antonio Catholic Church (24445 Rampart Blvd, Port Charlotte, FL 33980).
