He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Terri Bevolo (Joe), Tim Gies (Maureen), Gary Leginza, Lynne Schwandt (Randy) and Jim Leginza (Meaghan); his grandchildren, Tim Gies (Amelia), Jenny Thompson (Garrett), Andrea Bevolo, Kate Leginza, Nick Leginza, Rebecca Schwandt, Brian Schwandt, Andrew Leginza and Claire Leginza; his great grandchild Jasper Gies; and his brothers, David Gies (Sandy) and Tim Gies (Karlyn).
