He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis O'Neill and Christine Stark; his wife Mary Rose; his sister Marianne O'Neill; and his siblings-in-law, Gerard Bruce (Mary), Cecil Bruce, Edward Bruce, Francis Bruce (Lillian), Bernard Bruce (Gertrude), Margaret Kelly (Gerald) and Elizabeth Smith (George).

He is survived by: his children, Daniel (Joanne), Ray (Diana) and Peggy Frankel (Arthur); and his siblings-in-law, Harold Bruce (Kitty), Reginald Bruce (Pegi), Josephine Griffiths (late Thomas), Jean Hebert (Paul) and Marion Bruce. He is also survived by his five grandchildren; and his five great-grandchildren.
