She was predeceased by: her parents, Daniel Sims and Annie Sims; her sons, Michael A Sims and Tyrone L Sims Swinson; and her siblings, Daniel, Harry Sims, Richard Sims, Thomas Sims, Augusta Sims, James Sims, Mary Sims, Deloris Sims, Thelma Sims, Margaret Sims and Pauline Batton.
She is survived by: her children, Antonio G Sims (Angie), Verdon L Sims (Tanisha) and Veronica Sims Davenport (Dexter, Sr.); her grandchildren, Alexsondro Sims, Darreyn Mathis Sims, Whitney Mathis, Michael Sims, Jr., Kyelind Sims, Aurbrianna Sims, Dexter Davenport, Jr., Dontarius Davenport and Kayla Davenport; her sisters, Cynthia Williams and Willie Bell Sims (Nancy); and her caregiver Valarie Mathis. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 27th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the New Bethal AME Church (146 Ave C, Port St Joe, FL 32456).
