He was predeceased by: his parents, John Smiley and Mary Smiley. He is survived by: his daughter Shannon Lyn Jason; his wife Linda Papp; and his granddaughter Bailey. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Robert was always active in various organizations city government, church, lions, American Cancer, model train club, Florida Laryngectomy organization he organized state conferences for those people who had different kinds of throat cancer.
