He is survived by: his stepson Frank Bruce, Jr. (Aeja); his wife Barbara Merges (Lyman); his brother Frank John Merges, Jr. (Rene); and his sons, Robert (Josephine), Paul (Lisa) and Matthew (Palmarin). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, and their spouses and children.
