It is with sadness that the passing of Eric Dennis Lavine in Punta Gorda, Florida is shared. Eric, born on February 13, 1946, passed away on August 4, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Eric will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor Eric by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though Eric is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. Eric’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Lavine and Jeanne Lavine; and his siblings, Wayne, Audrey, Joyce and Darlene.
He is survived by: his wife Mary Tavis; and his siblings, Donna Strzala (Roman), Shirley Lewandowski (Frank) and Kevin Lavine. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and great-nieces and nephews.
A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church (211 W Charlotte Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950).
