James Lane Shipman Obituary

We are sad to announce that, on April 9, 2026, at the age of 19, James Lane Shipman (Punta Gorda, Florida) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his great-great-grandparent Ida Branch; his great-grandparents, JoAnn Griswold, Jack, Sue Drake and Jerry Andrews; and his great-uncles, Ricky Abbott and Tim Bartholomew.

He is survived by: his parents, James Shipman and Dawn Shipman; his sister Emmilyn; his grandparents, Brian George, Tom, Jackie Andrews, Doug and Kim Hawn; his great-grandparent Colleen Andrews; his aunts and uncles, Rob Waldie, Jace Andrews (Cameren), Wyatt Andrews (Kaitlyn), Jenna Andrews (Kory), Julia Andrews (Clayton) and Haven Hawn; and his close friend Myles Cope.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations to the nursing staff of Gulf Coast Medical Center Trauma Unit and the nursing staff of Life Link.
