We announce the death of Laura L Peters of Punta Gorda, Florida, who passed away on June 15, 2026, at the age of 77. Laura will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard Peterson and Reba Peterson; her significant other Paul Lafleur; her sons, John M. Peters Jr. and Jamie Clifton Peters (Kristin Peters); her grandchildren, Skylar Benton, John Hayden Peters, Sylvia Baldwin, Hannah Peters, Jordan Peters, Lexi Peters and Kenzi Peters; her great grandchildren, Kamron Flowers, Saige Shine, Suray Shine, Jaden Turner, Omari Peters, Jayce Benton and Zeland Benton; and her brothers, Jack Peterson and Larry Peterson (Becky Peterson).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Laura's memory to Punta Gorda YMCA at 2905 S Tamiami Trail, Punta Gorda, FL 33950.
