She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Mary E. Dutton (Olsen); her husband Frank E. Barnhart; her siblings, William, Ronald Dutton and Alice Dutton; and her grandchildren, Blane Grimes and Breanne Magers.
She is survived by: her children, Stephen C. Barnhart (Mary) of Warrensburg, Brenda G. Rhoads (Roy) of Arcadia and Pamela H. Shaffer (Tom) of Punta Gorda, Florida; her close friend Mary Walker of Kansas, Illinois; and her pet Mitzi. She is also survived by six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
For those who wish, the family suggests that memorials be made to Kansas Christian Church or to Lake Ridge Christian Church.
