Peter William Babbitt Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Peter William Babbitt of Punta Gorda, Florida, born in Newport, Rhode Island, who passed away on May 26, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Preston Babbitt and Anne Babbitt (Petersen) of Tiverton, RI; and his brothers, Preston and Terry Babbitt (Mary). He is survived by: his wife Lynn Marie Babbitt (Mulholland); his daughters, Gerilyn Cahalan (Timothy), Heather Romanelli (Eric) and Gretchen Babbitt (Matthew Stuczynski); his grandchildren, Duncan T. Cahalan (Jenna), Kasey Lynn Romanelli, Ivor B. Cahalan, Seamus B. Cahalan and Daniel Rocco Romanelli; and his sister Carole Anne Lehoullier (David).
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Colt State Park (Route 114, Bristol, RI 02809). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Kays-Ponger and Uselton Funeral Home (635 E Marion Ave, Punta Gorda, FL 33950).
