He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Jarvis and Fannie Jarvis; and his siblings, Edwin, Mildred and Jean.

He is survived by: his significant other Pauline; and his children, Cheryl Bruce, Deborah Giovannozzi, Richard Jarvis Jr. and Robert Jarvis. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.
