He was predeceased by: his parents, Marshall, Sr. Ship and Ollie Mae Ship; his siblings, Arthur Lee Shipp, Eddie C. Shipp, John Shipp, Marshall Shipp, Jr., Bertha Mae Brascomb, Lizzie Leath and Minnie Lee Brascomb; and his siblings' children, Benjamin Brascomb, Patrick Lockwood, John Ship, Johnnie Mae Brascomb, Glenda Faye Sierra and Josephine Brooks.
He is survived by: his sister Rosie Lee Weatherspoon of Tallahassee, Florida. He is also survived by children, his nephews, nieces, great nephews, and great nieces.
