With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Melvin Jones of Quincy, Florida, born in Reidsville, Georgia, who passed away on February 5, 2021 at the age of 81. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Melvin Jones to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Prentice Jones and Ruby Jones; his sister Evelyn Odom; his brother-in-law Devane Mason; and his parents-in-law, Farris and Bernice Parramore.

He is survived by: his wife Louise Parramore Jones; his daughters, Melanie Jones King (James) of Quincy and Melinda Jones Wiggins (Garrett) of Steamboat Springs, CO; his grandchildren, Ashley King, Cutter and Cody Wiggins; his sister-in-law Peggy Parramore Mason; and his siblings, Billy, Willie Joe Jones, Joan Wellman and Janice Caines (Steve). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and compassionate friends.

All family and friends are asked to respectfully observe COVID guidelines including face masks and social distancing.
