With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Roy Mitchell of Quincy, Florida, who passed away on December 28, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Roy may no longer walk beside us, his memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Roy touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In his absence, his spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
He is survived by: his wife Okson Mitchell of Valdosta, Georgia; his children, Daniel D. Mitchell of Atlanta, Georgia and Sophia S. Parrish of Osan; his grandchildren, Samuel Mitchell of Atlanta, Seth Mitchell of Atlanta, Daphne Mitchell of Atlanta, Gabryel Parrish and Xavier Parrish of Osan; his brother Robert C. Mitchell, Sr. of Quincy, Florida; and his aunt Carrie Hanks of Bellevue, Nebraska. He is also survived by other relatives and friends.
