Marc Roland Despard Obituary

Marc Roland Despard, aged 59, passed away on March 24, 2022 at home in Riverview, FL. He was named after his maternal grandfather Roland Stack and was born on his paternal grandmother's birthday, Beatrice Despard. Marc is survived by his son David Thalman (VA), his parents Gretchen and Ronald Despard (NC), his brothers Brian Despard (TX) and Mathieu Despard (NC) and his sister Christine Despard (NC) as well as eleven nieces and nephews. The oldest of four, Marc was born in North Kingston, RI in 1962 where his father was stationed as NAS Quonset Point. As a child growing up in a military family he lived in Rhode Island, California, Maryland, Florida and Virginia. He graduated from high school at West Springfield High School in Springfield, VA and attended George Mason University and University of Maryland in College Park, MD. In Florida, he worked for Lennar Mortgage. Marc and his father were avid Boston Red Sox fans. His family will hold a Memorial Service in North Carolina where his parents live.
