He is survived by : his wife Mirta Graciela; his children, Joseph Merrette and Laura Valmy; his sisters, Michele Shore and Rosemarie Merrette; and his grandchildren, Moreina Nina and Violette Naomi.

Visitation was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Southern Funeral Care and Cremation Services, Inc. (10510 Riverview Dr, Riverview, FL 33578). A funeral service was held on Friday, May 17th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
