He was predeceased by: his parents, Anna Belle and Leo Howell Sr.; and his brothers, Leo Jr. and Herman. He is survived by: his wife Paunez "Pert" Howell; his daughters, Kimberly Howell Smith and Heidi Howell Carpentier; and his grandchildren, Christopher, Lauren, Meghan and Abigail. He is also survived by his family, friends.

A memorial service was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Wednesday, April 29th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.
