D. Threatt, family: Los Angeles), Erma, Ethel, Rebecca, Annie, Minnie, Tracy, Charles Jr. and Chester; her great-nephew Lawrence Jr.; her nieces and nephews, Milwaukee, Eduardo, Carolina, Doug, Chantell and Closest; her sisters, Stephanie Rapp (Miami), Mary Moxley (Gary), Lydia and Eddie Dames (Miami Gardens); Laureen (Memphis), Joe, Gloria and Coconut Creek.
She also created the Bessie Perry Garrett Foundation to help disadvantaged children: the "Smile with a Child" program took these youth to Walt Disney World for a three-day camp, with support of the Green Family foundation.
