He was predeceased by: his parents, Naaman E. Grubbs and Ollie Belle Grubbs; and his sister Beverly Love. He is survived by: his significant other Dorothy Haddock; his sons, John Mark Grubbs and Peter E. Grubbs; his grandson Elijah; his great grandchild Jah'nay Monique Marie Grubbs; and his siblings, Freddie L. Grubbs (Judy), Naaman Grubbs, Jr. (Janet), Dorothy Holliday, Arlene Grubbs Washington (Ernest), Betty Butler (Gary) and Shery Grubbs-Barnes (Alpha). He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
