He was predeceased by : his parents, Marybelle Layton and Wardell Layton. He is survived by : his wife Debra Layton; his children, Christina Layton-Smrekar and Shane Layton; his grandchildren, Audrey and Hailey Smrekar; his brother Tony; his sister-in-law Lynn Layton; his sister Cindy; and his brother-in-law Steve Suminski. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
