With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Charles Robert Fleischmann of Saint Augustine, Florida, born in Astoria, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on February 27, 2026 at the age of 88. He was predeceased by: his brother Fred Fleischmann; and his mother Elizabeth Fleischmann. He is survived by: his wife Gloria Fleischmann; his daughter Linda Carfagna (Tom); his grandsons, Thomas (Jessica) and Brandon Carfagna (Caroline); and his great grandchild Luca Carfagna.

Carl transferred to the Grumman plant in Saint Augustine, where he continued to make significant contributions to the field.
