She was predeceased by: her father Stephen Kott; her husband Joseph D. Kapes; and her siblings, Eleanore, Joseph, Stephen, John, Daniel and Leonard.
She is survived by: her children, JoAnne Tyler (Jeffrey Lamberson) of St. Augustine and Joseph R. Kapes (Toni) of Coatesville, PA; her grandchildren, Adam Tyler (Kaiti) of San Antonio, TX, Jillian Barrett (Kelly) of Lancaster, PA, Chelsea Kapes of Salem, MA and Marina Kapes of Cambridge, MA; her great grandchildren, Kai, Quincey and Everett; and her friend Karen Walton.
