We announce the death of Dorothy Orieta Mitchell of Saint Augustine, Florida, born in Greenwood, Mississippi, who passed away on May 28, 2026, at the age of 93. Dorothy will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her former husband Manley Mitchell. She is survived by: her husband Orieta; her children, Shirley Henkel (Tom) of St. Augustine, Nancy Klawinski (Bruce) of Orlando, Florida and Robert Mitchell (Sue) of Apollo Beach, Florida; and her grandchildren, April Nicks, Brandon Hasty, Melanie, Robin Angarita, Ryan Connor, Kevin Connor and Jacob Staten. She is also survived by ten great-grandchildren and many precious friends.
