With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Thomas Hampton of Saint Augustine, Florida, born in Paintsville, Kentucky, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 13, 2025 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Carol Ann Hampton; his parents, Joann Hampton and John Hampton; and his siblings, Wade Hampton and Sue Hilliker.
He is survived by: his children, Rick Hampton (Katy), Tammy Wood (Steve) and Trecia Hampton; his brothers, Michael Hampton (Bobbi) and Steve Hampton (Candy); his grandchildren, Keith Hampton (Jenn), Aaron Hampton (Casey), Ashley Wood, Nicole Wood, Lyle See, William See and Cody See; and his great grandchildren, Jacob Hampton, Carter Hampton, Casey Ray, Kenley Hampton, Parker Hampton, Cameron Lee, Victoria Aguirre and Casper See.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, August 9th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the VFW Post 2391 (6184 US-1, St. Augustine, FL 32086).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Gary Hampton's memory to the VFW Post 2391 Auxiliary.
