It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Johnny Dale Hewett of Saint Augustine, Florida, born in Lake City, Florida, who passed away on October 12, 2022, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, John M. Hewett and Eleanor Johnson Hewett. He is survived by: his wife Charlotte Hewett; his daughters, Jennifer Smith (Zane) and Leah Sumara; his grandchildren, Wes Smith, Ryan Smith, Michael Dale King, Kalani and Joshua Sumara; his siblings, Jerry Hewett (Donna) and Ruth Wilkins (late Carl); and his sisters-in-law, Rebecca Walley (Ken), Gini Pickle (Mike) and Elizabeth Applewhite. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be sent to the building fund, Crescent Beach Baptist Church, 885 FL – 206, St. Augustine, FL 32086.
