He was predeceased by : his wives, Nancy Fuqua and Margaret Cox (Asa Cox). He is survived by : his sons, Michael Ayers Woods and Christopher Wythe Woods; his parents, Peggy Wallace Woods of Orange, VA and John W. Woods, Jr. of Gloucester, VA; his siblings, John (Julie Woods), Greg (Bonnie Woods), Patrick (Grace Woods), Chris (Johnna Woods), Cheryl Olander of Richmond, VA, Pamela Redmond of Topping, VA, Susan Cox (Bradford Thomas) of Tallahassee, FL and Laura Livingstain (Harris) of Asheville, NC; and also, Daniel Cox (Xiomara) of St. Augustine, FL and John Fuqua (Mary Catherine Andrews) of Washington, DC. He is also survived by three great nephews and one great niece.
