It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley Sanchez Browning of Saint Augustine, Florida, who passed away on April 19, 2024, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her former life partner Maria Magdalena Joaneda; her grandparents, Henry and Agnes Sanchez; her husband William Browning (Bill); her parents, Charlie Sanchez and Annie Laurie Sanchez; her brother Charles Sanchez, Jr.; her stepson Gerald Browning; her stepgranddaughter Kimberly Masters; her children, Dr. Ann Browning Masters (Jeremy), James (Jim) and Cecile Browning Nusbaum; her stepdaughter-in-law Linda Browning; her sisters, Mary Katherine Westrick and Betty Jo Brock (Eric); her grandchildren, Dr. Forrest Masters (Tatiana), David Nusbaum, Tiffany Browning Southwell, Brad Browning (Lyndsy) and Courtney Browning; her stepgrandchildren, Jeanie Day (Jim), Michel Turner (Gene) and Jeri-Anne Masters (Scott Furlow); and her caregivers, Karen, Nettie, Sheila, Beth, Ashley, Kristin, Sarah and Mona. She was also cherished by eight great-grandchildren, 13 step-great-grandchildren.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Craig Funeral Home (1475 Old Dixie Hwy, St. Augustine, FL 32084). A rosary was held on Tuesday, April 23rd 2024 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Wednesday, April 24th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the St Ambrose Catholic Church (6070 Church Rd, Elkton, FL 32033).

Flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Community Hospice-Bailey Center for Caring.
