William Hershel Pruitt Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of William Hershel Pruitt of Saint Augustine, Florida is shared. William, born on May 22, 1920, passed away on July 10, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
William will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around him. Friends and family will honor William by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence he had in their lives. Though William is no longer present, the bonds he created and the experiences shared will endure. William’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew him.
He is survived by: his daughter Dinah Faye Pruitt Joyce; his grandsons, E. A. "Tripp" Joyce, III and William Christopher Joyce; his great grandchildren, Taylor Joyce Smith, E. A. "Drew" Joyce IV, William Stiles Joyce, William Keelin Joyce and Wyatt James Joyce; and his wife Billie Frost Pruitt.
