He was predeceased by: his parents, Bill VanWinkle and Betty VanWinkle; and his sisters, Linda Haney and Marybeth Atwood. He is survived by: his wife Connie Underwood VanWinkle of Lafayette, Indiana; his children, Wendy Diamond (Mark) of Indianapolis, Casey VanWinkle (Julie) of Carbondale and Holly Schopp (Nick) of Town; and his siblings, Steve VanWinkle (Cathy) of Crawfordsville, Indiana and Lanah Madewell (Larry) of Ravensdale, Washington. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Charitable contributions in Allen's honor may be made to the St. Baldrick's Foundation for Childhood Cancer Research.
