He was predeceased by: his parents, E. Eldon Wry and Ruth Louise Wry (Wheeler); and his grandson Tyler J. Wry. He is survived by: his wife Leona M. Wry (Crossman); his children, Ella-Marie (Travis Ochowicz), Kurt W. (January M. Wry) and Lara L. Wry; and his grandchildren, Daniel W. Ochowicz, Paige M., Blake Wry and Amari J. Brown.
