He is survived by: his mother Theresa Mary Powell Pitts; his wife Rebecca "Becky" Avella Pitts; his daughters, Amy Pitts Nehls and Jennifer Pitts McKenna; his son-in-law Kenneth John McKenna; his grandchildren, Robert Thomas Shaw, Meghan Marie Shaw, Hailey Ruth Shaw, Elizabeth Ann Smith, Kady Anne McKenna, Kenley Grace McKenna, Kullen Leigh McKenna and Kenneth John "Jack" McKenna, Jr.; and his siblings, Sandra Pitts Vansickle (Ken) and David Alvin Pitts (Kim).
A graveside service was held on Friday, September 19th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Cape Canaveral National Cemetery.
