Eleanor Arruda Obituary
Eleanor May (Norcross) Arruda, 86, of St. Cloud, Florida, died Sunday, April 2, 2023, after a long illness.
She was the wife of Gordon Arruda, married 64 years, and daughter of the late Walter and Aldea (Breault) Norcross.
Eleanor was born in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, grew up in New Bedford, Massachusetts, and then raised her family in North Dartmouth, Massachusetts for 25 years, before relocating to Florida thirty years ago. She was formerly employed in the home healthcare field and as a department store sales clerk. "Ellie" will be remembered by many because of her sweet, playful demeanor. She enjoyed knitting, games and puzzles, and happy times with her extensive family.
Survivors include her husband Gordon Arruda of St. Cloud, Florida; five children: her daughter Karen Arreola and husband Richard of St. Cloud, Florida, her son Lawrence Arruda of Westport, Massachusetts, her daughter Sandra Miville of St. Cloud, Florida, her son Richard Arruda and wife Gwendolyn of North Dartmouth, Massachusetts, and her son Bradford Arruda and wife Amanda of Sorrento, Florida; seven grandchildren: Casey Miville and wife Elizabeth, Christopher Miville and fiancée Summerlin LaCour, Abigail Arruda, Olivia Arruda, Justice Arruda, Braelyn Arruda, and Maiha Arruda; two great-grandchildren: Edison Miville and Bennett Miville; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service is planned for Friday, April 7, 11:00 a.m., at Fisk Funeral Home, 1107 Massachusetts Avenue, St. Cloud, Florida.
