He was predeceased by: his parents, George Witt and Ann Witt (Bachman); his wife Mary Ellen Wiit; and his children, Kathy Witt and Anthony Witt.

He is survived by: his children, Mark J. Witt (Cheryl) of Saint Cloud, FL, Mike Witt (Glenda) of Shreveport, LA, Jim Witt of Mountainhome, PA, Dawn Myers (Jeff) of St. Cloud, FL and Diane Bittner (Ken) of North Canton, OH; and his sister Phyllis Barkley. He is also survived by nine grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
