He was predeceased by: his parents, Ora "Tinkey" Starling and Henry Starling; his sister Patricia Green (Ralph); his son James Darrell Starling (Roena); and the mother of his children Elaine Starling.
He is survived by: his grandchild Skylar; his wife Barbara Starling; his daughter Ann Starling (Olivia); his brother Albert Starling (Donna); and his grandchild Ridge Starling. He is also survived by in-laws, nieces, nephews.
