He was predeceased by: his father Joseph W. Etter Jr.; his mother-in-law Joyce Quinn; and his brother-in-law Paul Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carol Anne Stouffer; his children, Joseph W. Etter IV (Lauren) of Tampa, Florida and Jessica Wallace (Rob) of Manassas, Virginia; his grandchildren, Benjamin, Olivia, Amelia and Lucas; his mother Rita Weissman of Melbourne, Florida; his sisters, Rita Darlington (Thomas) of Melbourne and Jeannie Etter Coulson (David) of Miami, Florida; his father-in-law Jerry Quinn of Kissimmee, Florida; his sister-in-law Cathy Smith of Mt. Airy, Maryland; and his close friends, Roni Damouni (Nancy), Bob Machock (Sue), Rex Roberts (Mel) and Carol Hamilton (John). He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

My only wish is that he wasn't so secretive about his disease, and I could have talked to him one last time to tell him how much I loved him and appreciated how he always protected me.
