He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Antonio Acosta Alfaro and Magdalena Rivera Cruz; his wife Carmen of Elmhurst; his children, Luis Antonio Acosta II of Madison, Wisconsin, Karyna Pozo (Mancelo) of Saint Cloud and Veronica Acosta of Miami, Florida; and his sister Agustina Rivera of Equador. He was also cherished by 8 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
