Marilyn E. Strickland Obituary
Marilyn Elaine Strickland (RED) age 78 joined the Lord on November 20th 2023.
Husband Glenn proceeded her in death February 1st 2020. Marilyn was born in Omaha Neb to Edwin Aaron Johnson & Rose Adele Johnson (Curtis). There they lived on a big farm with lots of animals and ice skating in the winter.
She is survived by her twin sister Carolyn Jones of Omaha. The identical twins had a lot of fun, since most people couldn’t tell them apart. Proceeded in death was her brother James Johnson from Utica KS. Sister Mildred Walenz, sister Corrine Morris & Sister Charlotte Wietzki all from Omaha.
She went bowling one night and there she met Glenn Strickland and he always said he fell in love with a red headed beautiful, fun loving woman. They married on March 30, 1968, in Debary FL. They have 3 children, they were raised in Kissimmee FL. Marilyn retired at 58 years of from Martin Marrietta, she was a Aeronautical Executive Secretary. She wanted to stay home and travel with Glenn. They did a lot of speck fishing and driving around visiting family. We were so grateful that they got to celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary with so many loved ones on March 30, 2018.
Marilyn is survived by their son James Lonnie Farrell, their daughter Carol Lynn Bauman married to Daniel J. Bauman.
Their son Hiram E Strickland proceeded them, in death in 2003 August 3. Surviving Marylin is her 7 Grandchildren, Daniele Stiasny, Cheryl Bauman, Albert Bauman, Chance Farrell, Chase Farrell, Brittney Strickland, and Glenn Strickland.
Also surviving her is her 14 Great Grandchildren that she was so very proud of, and many nieces and nephews.

Our Mom will sure be missed what a beautiful soul. She is now with Dad and all the other family members that has gone to heaven before us. Ya’ll know they are up there frying fish, turtle, cooking collard greens, swamp cabbage and cornbread.
